OSM was involved when CTSI passed the pilot tests necessary to be the first in Asia to offer practical anchor-handling training courses.

Consolidated Training Systems Incorporated (CTSI) is proud to be the first in Asia to create a facility for this training. Capipisa training centre is perfectly situated by the sea shore in Manila Bay, Cavite.

For many years now, the offshore industry has been looking for a training centre that can provide practical courses in AHTS handling for crews operating on AHTS vessels. OSM had the honour of participating in the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

- CTSI is the best training centre in the Philippines that offers offshore related courses. They have initiated courses to meet our needs as our offshore fleet grows. OSM is one of CTSI´s biggest customers and I guess that is why I was asked to cut the ribbon for the AHTS facility, says Gunnar Dybesland from OSM.

OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF FRAMO CARGO PUMPING SYSTEM (FRAMO 5)

Course Description: 

Operation and maintenance of Framo cargo pumping system covers the description, construction, operation and maintenance of the Framo cargo pump.  It includes the process of loading, discharging, purging and practical running of both the main pump and the portable pump. Dismantling and assembly of cargo pump is also a part of the practical activities.

Duration: Four (4) days

ADVANCED OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF FRAMO CARGO PUMPING SYSTEM (FRAMO 3)

Course description: 

Advanced operation and maintenance of Framo cargo pumping system is a 7-day course which covers the principles of hydraulic pumps and expounded description and theories, construction, operation and maintenance of the Framo cargo pump.  Practical exercises include overhauling of the cargo pump, purging instruction and operations of the main and portable pump. 

Duration: Seven (7) days
