Helicopter Underwater Escape Training
HUET is an OPITO approved course designed to adopt a lecture and hands on teaching methods to provide the knowledge and skill necessary to survive a helicopter ditching at sea and consists of lecture, demonstration and practical exercises using helicopter mock-up. Objective At the end of the course participants will be competent to perform the following:
- Don a transit suit and aviation lifejacket
- Prepare for a helicopter emergency landing on land or water
- Properly use and apply the emergency re-breather system (EBS)
- Safely exit or escape a crashed, submerged or capsized aircraft
Duration 1 day, 6 hours and 50 minutes Entry Requirements Medical Certificate

Things to bring: 1. Registration Form and ID 2. Pen, notebook, handbook 3. White T-shirt and long pants 4. Shoes and slipper 5. Underwear 6. Toiletries 7. Bath & face towel 8. Coverall (for FOET) 9. Padlock and key (optional) 10. Extra Shoes for swimming 11. Short Pants (for swimming activity)
Other Reminders: 1. No trainee will be allowed to leave training site premises for the duration of the course w/out CTSI approval. 2. No alcohol drinks/prohibited drugs are allowed inside the training site. 3. Bringing expensive jewelries and/or large amount of money is strongly discouraged. 4. No trainee’s visitors are allowed at the training site. 5. Trainees are expected to conduct themselves accordingly.
