Advanced Fire Fighting
AFF covers the training recommended in annex 2 of IMO assembly resolution A. 437(XI) - training of crews on fire fighting. This course is patterned after the IMO model course 2.03. Objective Trainees will be able, in the event of a fire onboard a ship, to use the techniques you learned to take command, organize the personnel effectively and control the fire fighting operations. Trainees will also learn fire prevention and the ability to inspect and maintain fire extinguishing systems and equipment. Duration 4 days Entry Requirements • Medical certificate • Basic Safety Course certificate
Things to bring: 1. Registration Form and ID 2. Pen, notebook, handbook 3. White T-shirt and long pants 4. Underwear 5. 1 pair of shoes and slipper 6. Toiletries 7. Bath & face towel 8. Coverall 9. Padlock and key (optional) 10. Rubber shoes (optional) for recreation activity
Other Reminders: 1. No trainee will be allowed to leave training site premises for the duration of the course w/out CTSI approval. 2. No alcohol drinks/prohibited drugs are allowed inside the training site. 3. Bringing expensive jewelries and/or large amount of money is strongly discouraged. 4. No trainee’s visitors are allowed at the training site. 5. Trainees are expected to conduct themselves accordingly.
