Proficiency in Fast Rescue Boats
PFRB provides the training to launch and take charge of a fast rescue boat, in accordance with section A-VI/2 paragraph 2 of the STCW code. PFRB is patterned after the IMO model course 1.24. Objective Trainees will be able to handle and take charge of such boats during or after launch in adverse weather and sea conditions, operate fast rescue boat engines, carry out search patterns and the correct use of all locating devices including communication and signaling equipment between the rescue boat, helicopter and ship. Duration 3 days Entry Requirements • Medical certificate • Basic Safety Course • PSCRB certiicate

Toiletries (2 days) 8. Bath & face towel 9. Coverall (2 days) 10. Padlock and key (optional) 11. Rubber shoes (optional) for recreation activity
Other Reminders: 1. No trainee will be allowed to leave training site premises for the duration of the course w/out CTSI approval. 2. No alcohol drinks/prohibited drugs are allowed inside the training site. 3. Bringing expensive jewelries and/or large amount of money is strongly discouraged. 4. No trainee’s visitors are allowed at the training site. 5. Trainees are expected to conduct themselves accordingly.
