Basic Welding and Fabrication This course provides understanding on gas welding, cutting and brazing, as well as safety practices. It provides training to develop the manual skill necessary to produce quality fillet welds and open root welds (all position). Skill is developed in the areas of flame cutting mild steel.
Also this course provides understanding on electric arc welding using electrodes, as well as safety practices. It provides training to develop the manual skill necessary to produce quality welds in down hand vertical position and the use of gouging electrodes. It will familiarize the student to the different types of electrode available.
