Description
HUET is an OPITO approved course designed to adopt a lecture and hands on teaching method to provide the knowledge and skill necessary to survive a helicopter ditching at sea and consists of lecture, demonstration and practical exercises using a helicopter mock up.

Objective
Trainees will be able to: Don a transit type survival suit and aviation lifejacket; Prepare for a helicopter ditching or an emergency landing; Trainees will also learn to take action following: a Controlled emergency decent to a dry landing; a Controlled ditching on water; a Partial submersion of an aircraft; an Aircraft capsizing in water.
