Description

PFRB provides the training to launch and take charge of a fast rescue boat, in accordance with section A-VI/2 paragraph 2 of the STCW code. PFRB is patterned after the IMO model course 1.24.

Objective
Trainees will be able to handle and take charge of such boats during or after launch in adverse weather and sea conditions, operate fast rescue boat engines, carry out search patterns and the correct use of all locating devices including communication and signaling equipment between the rescue boat, helicopter and ship.
